WELCOME TO PIR 11/20/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

country mom, they get to update their list a couple weeks before PIR. Just write to him and tell him the changes to make on it so when the time comes he knows what to do.

jackflash, you are funny, love the post about your puzzled dogs lol.

Quick question........can they change who is on their PIR list? His sister can't go but his girlfriend can. Does he have time to change it?
Comment by sjtina on October 10, 2012 at 9:06pm

Sierra now I got it. I was thinking you had two going through BUDs. Couldnt imagine that. Congrats to your son and best wishes on the next phase.

If the 800 divisions start a discussion above, it will be easier for me and sierra to fill you ladies in on info regarding differences for spec ops divisions.

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on October 10, 2012 at 8:47pm

They put them into divisions as they arrive at bootcamp. For the most part one divisions fills up before another one starts with the exception of the 800 and 900 divisions. And if a division is going to be all male then the females that arrive at the same time would go to the next division. Each division starts out with about 85 to 90 recruits and will finish with 75 to 80. The 800 division holds the Special Ops recruits and the 900 division is the performing division. The DIV numbers start over at the beginning of each fiscal year. You are the 3rd training group of the new year and will graduate in Dress Blues.

JackFlash thank you
Comment by JackFlash on October 10, 2012 at 8:13pm

wow sierra-- congrats to you and your boys.  That's wonderful.

diannep-- looks like there are two 800 divisions this time around.  I made a little list of folks and on this PIR Date there is already Ship 004, Div 801 and Ship 002 Div 802.

Of course I have no idea which (if either) my son is in because the mailman did NOT deliver the goods.  When I saw he didn't have the letter I was looking for, I gave the "Attack" command and my dogs did as expected... They looked puzzled.
