OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

bayoukat:  It is an overnight drill so for those who may be going tonight, they won't be finished until early in the morning.  So calls would come anytime after that.  Keep that phone close by!

Ok, just saw Jim's post.  If there is a BattleStations tonight, it would be for only those who are coming out of FIT or for those who failed the first time.  So Jim may be right!  Hoping that there is one going on right now so that more will be at PIR tomorrow!

My SR is actually with the FIT division so I am hoping that there are some more going thru BS. I havent heard from him since Monday so I am hoping he doesnt get to discouraged if he has to wait longer.

Not sure what you mean about getting a late call Jim G.

Do you mean for those that have completed it? When you say "still have to go through", That maybe they would get to call later...or that some division from this TG have not gone through.

Normally the next TG would be starting BST-21 tonight.

BST-21 is an overnight Drill...it lasts twelve hours and they get done early AM(About 8 AM).

If there are some from this TG that need to go through tonight in order to make tomorrows PIR they can do that with the next TG. Then they can opt out of marching in and standing on the Drill floor (PIR is an hour and a half ) as they are too tired.  PIR starts at 9 AM sharp. In fact the band may start about 5-10 minutes early. Sailors march in at approx 9:20.

If they don't march in they will be seated in the stands.

diannep...if you come on can you explain further if need be?

sailormom7 - I (we) are so glad that it has been helpful! We all felt the same way when we went through it. Thank you for your kind words!

BTW, after tomorrow you will all be ALUMNI of this PIR and I or ellen will change the title acccordingly. The GROUP will remain open...believe it or not we ocassionally get someone who joins after the fact! They find out about N4M's at the Meet and Greets and such.

PLEASE feel free to come back here and visit with each other. We create them but they belong to you all.

(ellen's had to be away for awhile, her Brother had a valve replacement and so she has been with her Family. Miss you E!)

Bayoukat-my call came yesterday at 4:30pm Chicago time. Don't give up! Suggestion-if you have any questions you don't want to forget to ask your sailor, keep the list with your phone. I wouldn't have remembered a single question I had without the list. My call came while I was entering a large, crowded conference center. Almost missed it!

Sitjna, FTLW, diannep and Cor (hope I'm not missing anyone)- I cannot even tell how helpful you all have been. I stalked the site a bit before joining. So thankful to have a place to voice my questions and read others. Learned so much here!
