Fess up, Craig...we all know that was YOU in the video you posted.... :-)
Ooops, Kim! If that is actually your SR's last name, you will need to delete that comment. No last names allowed on here....RTC rules! Thanks so much! Just click the "x" in the box.
For some reason october passed by so quickly and now starting nov it feels like time slowed down :'(
1Sailor/1Marine: You CAN meet the RDCs after PIR. They will be there with the division!
HOWL!
I'm still wondering how you managed to snap that pic of my wife's car.
I'm glad you got a chuckle.... All for only one. Nice Peace!
Thanks, diannep! We will plan on heading to Sarge's then. Too bad we don't get to meet the RDCs - - it was quite, uh, illuminating meeting my other son's Drill Sergeants at the Marine boot camp Meet-N-Greet last year.
Aprildawn, they won't lose calls for the rest of boot camp. They are usually promised one and then when they don't do everything exactly right that call gets taken away. They will eventually start getting things "right" and they will most likely get a call. Most of them will get a call around the 4th week they are there which is near the end of the 3rd week of training. It may come a little earlier but not usually, or it may come a little later if the DIV is struggling to work together as a team. It happens all the time and try not to worry. they always figure it out and begin to work well as a team and then they will get those much anticipated calls. Keep your phone alway handy just in case!!!
1Sailor/Marine: Yes, there are 3 MeetandGreets. Look under the yellow smiley faces at the top of this page and click on the link below it. The one we recommend is SARGE's if you can make that one. He has lots of info for you all. He is the one who runs a transportation service also...either to/from airport or around town during PIR weekend--or both. He offers Navy families special rates. 847-212-0246 There are rave reviews from families who have used his transportation services in the past...also on his MeetandGreet!
No, there will be no sailors nor RDCs at the MeetandGreets. Strictly families/friends of the new sailors. Sarge is retired military himself.
