Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

WELCOME TO PIR 11/20/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the timeto read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

If a division loses its phone privileges, is that for the entire length of boot camp? I am missing my kid very much today and just want to know whether I should try to not focus so much on getting a call of it's not going to happen

But from what I understand there will be a special appearance from a special guest wearing his Navy PIR clothing and will be singing his "special" Navy song for all of you to enjoy. His name is JackFlash. He published what he was planning to wear to PIR on Friday in this section. Now, it is rumored he will play his world greatest hit "Nice Peace" for all of you to enjoy....He will sign autograph after PIR, if he has time.

He will even do his world famous "pro tea" words (located at frame 1:50 on this video).

I believe I have found you! And I am happy they have found a good friend in one another.

Their jobs may change several times. If someone is really good the RDC's may argue over what job they get or change to lol.
