Any idea when he will get his orders? Or when they usually get their orders? He said that they filled out their classifications on Monday (the 29th).
FTLW, thanks! I asked him in the letter I just wrote that will go out on Monday so I will get the official answer... eventually! Snail mail just takes so long. Haha.
Okay, that makes sense! I have heard they get 10-14 days after training before reporting to their duty station, but I didn't know what he meant about the second time. Holiday leave could make sense though. Or maybe it says in the form but his dad didn't answer so I don't know what the form says, or if he has it yet. I get mail from my boyfriend about two days after he sends it but it takes his dad about 4 or 5 days to get his mail.
Love_my_SR - He will have to give you more details...but I can "guestimate"
The only thing I can think is that since your SR is Undesignated S-PACT they usually get leave after their training before they go out into the fleet.
However, Holiday Leave Period will be coming up and it may happen while he is still doing his Surface Common Core (SCC). The training is three to four weeks of additional skills for ship board life. So he may have Holiday leave as well.
Just got my 6th letter today!!!! Such a happy girl!
He is S-PACT, and said "I get to come home for leave twice after bootcamp" and that he sent the form home and to call his dad right when I get this letter and have him fill it out and bring it when we get him for Thanksgiving, which might not happen now since no one can go to sign him out. So my question is, anyone know what he means by coming home twice after bootcamp? Second if I end up not finding anyone to sign him out and not going for Thanksgiving should I fax or scan and email the (filled out) form to someone there?
I think that sweet baby girl will just have to have a "second' first birthday party when daddy can be with her...maybe after PIR! Happy Birthday to her!
Happy birthday! to her! They'll see each other soon!
Such a bittersweet day :( So happy because today is my baby girl's first birthday but also feeling so sad because my husband can't be here to share this day with us :( He tried so hard to get his date pushed up to leave to bootcamp in order to at least be able to call us today but he didn't have much luck. I hope he's not feeling too down over there today :(
Good Morning Ladies! Have a wonderful weekend!
