That is awesome meam, It should be fine to send a phone card in your next letter. Activate it before you send it. It will save him time when he starts to use it. I would get one with plenty of minutes since they use pay phones to make their calls and the cards use a lot more minutes for pay phone calls.
I got a phone call today too. I was at work and had customers. I quickly explained to the customers and continued the phone call. It was very hard to hear my SR. He is happy and says that it is beautiful in GL. He asked for another phone card. Does anyone know if it is okay to send one?
Please also see this PAGE from your PIR groups PAGES sectionas far as what happens in BC:

There's lots of beginning info and I will be adding more today for you!
MiMi send me an email to uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com and I will send you the link and you can check and see if it will work for you :-)
First phone call today! It was brief, but good to hear his voice!
Is anyone planning to rent a car in Chicago? If so and you have not reserved it yet let me know. I may be able to help you get a cheaper price. I use rentals cars from priceline quite a bit and I have received several emails from them for renting a car in Chicago for only $20 a day. I think it would work for me to email you the discount coupon link so if anyone needs to rent a car and wants to give this a try let me know. We always use Priceline for renting a car through Enterprise and always get a lower rate. This past weekend it saved us close to $200 for a 5 day rental. So always check priceline and compare that price with the companies price.
Anyone with a SR in Division 021 that IS going for Thanksgiving, I posted a question under the discussion for our ship. Just posting this so no one accidentally misses it.
Hi everyone, we made it home late last night from VA Beach. We had a great time visiting our Sailors but just not enough time spent with them. Hurricane Sandy was a pretty big concern so we came home a day early. Now expecting snow here at home. Could be just a trace and some areas 7 to 10 inches. It all depends on which "expert" you listen too lol. I hope you all are far away from the storm and if you are in it's path please be safe. You all are in our prayers. Many prayers for Brett as well Diannep, keep us posted <3
Dena, ask your recruit in your next letter to let you know what night they will have battle stations so you will be prepared for the phone call. They usually know a week or two in advance. Hopefully she will send that info to you in a letter as soon as she finds out. If you do find out send a private message to Diannep and let her know. If you don't find out when it is ask Diannep about a week or so before PIR if she has received any dates for your division.

This helped me with a breakdown of what they are doing each week.. its usually week 7.
