Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ok, just sent a bunch of info, including PDA policy, to girlfriend and her mom (they'll be joining us for PIR). I really hope it doesn't offend her, but I know it will be a shock when he can't grab her and sweep her off her feet, and I don't want her to get upset or think something's wrong. I'd probably get him in trouble myself if I didn't know I could'nt be hugging on him all the time....(:

prayers headed to all of our SR's and there families. All the way from the Southwest Louisiana. I pray that all us traveling to go see our Sailors have a safe trip. And Kathy special prayer for your husband to be ok with his kidney stones. My husband had 23 stones at one time and it was very painful for him and me to have to see him suffer. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Wow my prayers are with yall gabbyhat and all the others that are driving and flying. Lynne thanks for the idea of the blue ribbon I will make sure I do that. Erica thanks for the info on who won the captains cup exciting info. Wow finally it is right around the corner can't wait to see my boy, Also very excited to meet you all.

We have come such a long way! Another day is ending, and we're getting closer :) I look forward to hopping into bed everynight knowing when I wake up it'll be one day less til PIR! Especially tonight because I'll be able to wake up tomorrow morning and say "PIR is THIS WEEK!"

WOW... On the road for a day and a half, I have missed oh so much! Lynn, so Sorry about your son, however I'm very excited that he will be able to do BS on the 3rd.. My SR will be right there with him that night. I have to say, this has been an emotional rollarcoaster for all of us. Congrats to all the new Sailors and their families. I know just how proud you are, I'm right there with you. Please include us in your prayers, that we have a continued safe trip. I look forward to meeting you all. I'm sure glad we brought the laptop.
