He goes to the regular post office on base to get it...it is delivered to the front gate...so he should wait until about 2PM and then just go pick up his mail and ask for a package...

OOPs. I got a call from Andy this am, Monica...Tyler didn't tell the guys. I told Andy what you said and he was going to go over by Tyler to see how he was doing. Or to see if there was anything he could do for him. Them boys can be so strong at times. If it were us girls, we'd be crying with all of our girlfriends crying with us.

So sorry for you guys Monica. I sent Andy a message on Facebook for Tyler. Just to let him know we are thinking of him in our thoughts and prayers! Take care sweetie and give Ty a little hug from us.

Does he want to go and say goodbye to his grandma monica? I would think that he could ask and they might let him do that this weekend..he could go through the chaplain or the red cross and see if ti is a possibility. I think the one thing I have seen really help people and that has helped me and I have had a lot of loss in my life, is taking time to think about the gifts we have receive from that person. Not monetary gifts, but rather gifts of the heart, perhaps traits that they share, stories they remember, times they spent together and things that he will take with him forever. I don't know if that will help or not.

It isn't selfish to hope that your wedding which is a bright and happy time in your life will take the edge off of sadness. Beginnings and endings are a part of life. His grandmother will be healed and whole and standing in the presence of God to witness your vows, what a seat she will have. Perhaps you can honor her that day by placing a single rose in the seat she would have occupied...that is what I did to honor my father.

Please give Tyler a hug from me and let him know I am praying for the two of you as well as for his dad and their family.

Hey I am always here and will always be here I hope for the long run...I miss you and everyone...I think that everything is so new to everyone..and yet you have expressed what I hear so many people saying. We had a very close knit group and I am not sure what happened to everyone, but I kind of think the holidays got in the middle and hopefully we wil see some people come back after Christmas. The Pensacola group is kind of fun. Your RSS group is pretty stressful right now I heard because there is a big class going on an they are dropping like flies from it...Lydia is a friend of mine...so hang in there. Many groups ultimately come back to their PIR groups so hey come chat with me every day....I like need the break from my new moms...were we like that????lol

Lynne ---- I am not in the pensacola group. Maybe that would explain why I feel so disconnected from every thing since boot camp. I understand that we all go our seperate ways but reading thru some of the posts here I feel as if I am missing something, like I am in the middle of someone else's conversation. I t has actually gotten to be pretty depressing because I don't talk to any one any more, I am in a RSS group but still don't feel like I belong. The people in that group have been there for quite some time and since my son hasn't classed up yet I am not connecting very well, I think there might be couple of others that feel the same. :( I keep checking in though, reading the posts and reply when I think I have something to add. So sorry to lay all that on you, but you are the only one that still gets on here from BC days-----thanks for the ear, I am feeling sorry for myself

Mimi...are you in the Pensacola group...we have been talking about the glitch down there in the "chits"...and have offered Navy for Mom services to straighten it out...lol...you should read our posts...Connie and I think we could deal with it in about 3 days....lol

Still working on that move to Texas...picked out the house I want...now after Christmas will take a trip down there to make the decisions about flooring etc. Hopefully the weather will agree with me some.

karen...so sorry about the things going on at your house and even more sad your son can't come home...is GL not standing down at Christmas...holidays are tough when you are grieving...after my dad died my mom never decorated for Christmas again...and I was 10 when he died so it was kind of an issue...lol I hope that somehow you will be able to get him to go with you Christmas weekend...it would be good for him

Hi Lynne, we are doing good at our house busy like you said with christmas, our son said he got his ticket for the 18th and return on the 31 can't wait to see him. There are about 60 sailors that are in a computer glitch in p'cola, he being one of them. It says they are not active duty so it wouldn't let them put their chit in. The Petty officer said if it comes down to it then they will submit them in writing. The good 'ol fashion way.!!!!!! He is on hold for RSS said he won'tget in until after the first of the year. So.....lots of down time on our end. How is the move to Texas coming along????
