For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Everytime it rings i'm looking for that 847 area code or private. Hope to see everyone next week.GUESS WE WILL HAVE SOMTHING TO SHARE, by the time I get home hopefully.

Comment by Lynne on October 29, 2010 at 2:44pm: Ooooh manipulative huh...I like that...lol...yes my hotel does allow animals but Yorkies are high strung and she will bark the entire time we are at PIR and then my recruit wants to sightsee and i couldn't leave her in the car....lol...so she will have to stay home with the babysitter

It makes me so sad that I have to take mine Wednesday of next week to a kennel near us for them to say at. They will be inside and get to share a run together since they are used to each other. We can say my son's name and he starts looking for him.....In all of the letters I sign them Love mom, dad and Fuzzy (that is what we call Luke). My son has asked about him and has even said a couple of times that he loves Fuzzy too lol!
