Okay y'all there seems to be some confusion about the Meet and Greet...it seems that some people are setting up some of their own...so let me see if I can clarify a few things. I hope everyone will attend the Meet and Greet at Anastasias. The address is
3880 Northpoint Blvd
Waukegan, IL 60085
The Meet and Greet will be from 6 to 8 PM! This will give us all time to get our beauty sleep and be extra glamorous for PIR....lol!!!
Each division has been asked to make a flag that will fit into a styrofoam base to fit on a table to designate your division. This will make your division easy to find. Anastasias has been working with me to set it up in a friendly way so that divisions will be able to sit together.
I had asked a few weeks ago for each division to appoint someone to make a count of how many would be attending the Meet and Greet from your division. Everyone is welcome. Children included. The menu is very varied and you can order anything from something to drink to appetizers to dinner. It is your choice. They even have a great kid's menu that includes pizza.

It is certainly up to you if you choose to have individual meet and greets per division but we have been in this all together through all these weeks and I for one will be very sad if I don't get to meet all of you. I hope you will rethink having individiual meet and greets and join the PIR Meet and Greet at Anastasias. It will certainly be an evening of fellowship and fun where we celebrate surviving our own Navy boot camp and frankly if I never write another letter it will be too soon....except to those recruits we still have in ship 6, for them I will make an exception.

Jose: Just make sure she is on your right, holding your right arm, so that her right arm is free to salute when necessary!

Lala, so sorry, both families are in our prayers. You are so right to cherish each moment. My husband lost his sister way to soon. God Bless....

LOL Absolutely, Lynn! There's no way i wanna get my wife in trouble. Either way, when we'd go out for dinner or a movie or just to walk, i'd usually walk with her in an escort fashion. Of course, we'd hold hands after a while, but i like walking with her like a gentleman :)

Hey everyone, check the proper code of conduct I posted in the discussion section, unfortunately I learned I won't be able to hold my son's hand and keep an arm around and just generally smother him while he is on liberty....( I wouldn't do that would I....lol) Significant others especially read those rules so you don't get your feelings hurt!! You won't get in trouble...and I know you have missed them terribly and are going to want to snuggle...lol (wasn't that a nice way of putting it) but snuggling is kind of against the rules....so they will get in big trouble if they are seen and guess what they post RDCs in public places that new sailors usually go on liberty just to watch for violations....are we going to allow our new sailors to get in trouble. I say .... HELL NO!!! (excuse my French) Are you with me???
