Amelia- I know how hard this is on you. As mothers we want to be there when our children are hurt or sick no matter how old they are. And you being a nurse, I would think that would make you want to be there even more. I will keep you both in my prayers and pray for a quick recovery. God Bless you both :-)

Amelia: Would you mind if some of us write her letters while she is recuperating? It can be emotionally hard on these recruits who are injured or sick being in Ship 6. And to have been so close to the end for her...oh boy....I think letters from the ladies on here encouraging her may really help! What do you think?

If that is good with you, post on here that we can write to her and we can private message you for her name and address. I would love to write to her...I know she will get through this!

You're so welcome, gkneemo. We are all here to help. Sorry I can't meet you all. We women love to network and help each other, don't we? I think that is a trait of women that goes back generations!

And, I also want to commend Lynne for leading this group. It is not an easy job and takes lots of commitment (I know from my own experience!)....but it is SO rewarding to do it. She has been very vigilant with this group and I know you all will be happy to meet her at M&G and PIR! Way to go, Lynne!

Diana: Captains Cup is a sporting event the Sat. before PIR....with all divisions submitting representatives to compete in the different events. No, it is not like BStations...this is a FUN day and they are not being graded (!)...yes, lots of competition, but a day to "let down" and enjoy.

AmeliaGrumma--- sorry to hear this, I will keep her in my prayers, it is so hard for us not to be there and help them, I am sure she is wanting you there but she is in good hands.

How does the Captions cup work? Do all the Div do this at one time? or is it like Battlestations?
I really can not beleive how close it is. I am trying to get everything ready. I cant wait to see my son. I have only talked to him 1x since he has left. His letters this week to everyone seems ok, not really much info, just some things that they have been doing. wish he says more, but he doesnt. I am glad for this group, thanks everyone for all your help and friendship. cant wait to meet everyone.

Amelia, My prayers to both your family and daughter. My heart is breaking for her right now, to be this close and now to be set back. I will keep her in my prayers.
Lynne, thank you for all your help and answers. Without N4M I would have gone crazy.
Diannep, thanks for your personal assistance. I think I would still be worrying about a couple thing without your answers. This is a wonderful place to meet moms just like me and I don't know what I would have donw with out it. Thanks to everyone.

does anyone know when the best time is to STOP writing letters because they won't be receiving them anymore?!
