BAD NEWS! I'll not be attending PIR with all of you next week.

Halee complained of shin pain--told me she had x-rays last week or so--was cleared & today while she was running her last PFA the final part --BS21 was within her reach and sudden pain--next step brought her to the floor. Ambulance ride to VA--Fractured her tibia. Now in a full leg cast from upper thigh to toes.

Don't know where she'll stand as far as her progress as her running times were all good prior to the final PFA. All she had left to do was BS21. So as to being set back--we don't know how much, etc...

She was able to call home from the VA--she was crying and the pain meds weren't helping. I tried to encourage her as best as I could as she's come so far.

The mom in me is tearing apart inside--the nurse in me knows she'll be okay and that this type of fracture recovers well...just that it will take time. Not being able to be kept up on her status will drive me nuts. But I know they'll take good care of her.

Lynn--you've been a great support and I want to thank you. Now it's going to be wait & see for me. She wants this so bad--so I know she'll pull through--so now she'll probably spend her holidays there & her bday is coming up in a few weeks too and we can't send her anything buy cards/letters.

I just hope that the Navy doesn't give up on her!

Well, I would say...probably had lots of nervous breakdowns. Do you realize how many moms ARE NOT on N4Ms? We are such a small fraction of each PIR group. I don't know how the others get through....

navymom: be sure to see my post below...and try emailing Jerrold before sticking a blank check in the mail. He was quick to answer me before when I had a question.

navymom: If he didn't order the PIR DVD, order it at the NEX after PIR. Not a problem. I believe it is $29. It is mailed to you in about 4-5 weeks.

AndysMom: whoot toot=HOOYAH in Navy talk!
Glad you got it done!

On the pictures, I looked it up on his credit card statement and it said "Navy Exchange" as payee for the pictures. HOWEVER, I suggest the you email the following person and ask him who to make the check payable to:

Jerrold_Klinkosh@nexweb.org

That is who I communicated with about The Keel(yearbook) and he handles the photos.
