G Man: You need to clone her so that there are more like her for our sailors! She sounds like a great person, dedicated and committed. Wonderful virtues, especially in these times.

Great idea Tammy (B2b)!! I was thinking the same thing. Would hate for them to get no encouragement just when they might really need it! It's only a lost note or card if they don't get it. Let's keep sending those letters!

I think I might have said the 26 because that is what my husband told me on the phone this past Monday. He said not to write him after the 26 because he wants to make sure he gets all of his letters. Also we live in central Florida so we are a distance from one another. I imagine if your closer you can adjust that but it takes about 4 to 5 days for me to get his letters but when they go to them you have to consider the time it takes for them to be separated and distributed. I hope this helps. I would just listen to what your recruit says.

When is Division 362 battle stations?
Comment by B2bparts ship07DIV363Pir 11/05 on October 24, 2010 at 9:10pm
Well I plan on writing until the 29 th hopefully I can get one last card to him before battle station 21! And if not oh well nothing more than a stamp. I would hate for him not to get some mail right before the most important night! I might even mail more than one and # them so he can have one all the way to the day I get there!!!! What is it going to hurt?

We normally recommend that you stop writing about a week before PIR. They claim that they forward the letters if they miss them at RTC, but I have heard from ladies who said that theirs were never received at either place.

My son said in a letter yesterday to his brother, to keep writing, the letter was written on the 20th and postmarked on the 21.

2ndmomtohim...they are about a week behind if not more in getting our mail...and they don't get mail from fri-sun so letters sent the first part of next week will not get there till the first or mid of next week
