ok cool, he is doing- 1.5 miles in 12 mins push ups 60 and sit ups are 80.
I could never do that. I cant even do one push up and maybe I could do 2 sit ups and it would take me quite awhile to walk 1.5 miles. oh my son is 20,

Oops...brain fart, I guess. Certainly didn't mean to compromise anyone by using last names. I've seen them in several posts and assumed it was ok. Won't happen again :-)

Diana, just tell him do not hold his breath(prolongs process)do not jump up and down(makes you breath hard) keep hands away from eyes. They all will do fine in gas chamber. They may have already done it, im not sure.

Kathy what a great idea and I am praying for your son and his physical...
Iowa...glad he is finally home...since he had to come it is better he is there where you can take care of him. Please greet him from me and I think I speak fro everyone here...we are excited to hear from him and his experiences when HE is ready!!

Kathy...what a great idea...that gets me to thinking I wonder if we could start a message in each division and forward from one person to the next in the division and each person put a good luck on it and then one person take responsibility for printing it out and putting it in a card and mailing it to their recruit for the division. Wouldn't that be cool??? We could show our recruits that we know what it means to come together as a team!!

Kathy, that is a great idea. my son seems worried about the gas chamber and wants me to find info on that.

Hello, Just wanted to pass on something I am doing to encourage my son and his Div. for Battlestations. A friend of mine does all kinds of cards. She made a card with my son's name and his Div on it. she also found a pic of the Battlestation simulator they use, and info of what BS is. On the inside of card,,she just wished the Div luck on their BS. and included several blank pages. I am having family and friends sign it, not to just my son but to all the div, wishing them Luck and encouragement. That my son can share with his fellow recruits, Especially any who may be anxious about the test or etc.. Some of you may have already had this idea, but thought I would pass it on, in case you might want to consider something like this. Thanks to all of you for your posts, they really help alot, to know we are not alone.

My son (Div 364) is going on subs. He told me he had to have a special physical and xrays. He told me he passed his physical. and were waiting on the xray results. but thought he would pass on those also. Our time ran out when talking to him, so not sure what type of xrays he had to have.
