Hello Ladies. My husband Ship7-Div355 just called me. He said everything was great his RDC's were awesome. Of course I didnt believe it was him when he called and then once I caught me breath the tears cam flowing down. He told me to pull it together he only had 4 minutes. They got beat tonight. But he sounded so happy. I was so happy to hear from him. He said he might be calling me next week. Also he called off of a land line. So look out.

I'm here..wondering if any other moms have put off cleaning their son's room? Going to try and tackle it this week..just haven't been able to go in his room much..
hopefully it won't be as hard as I am expecting..emotional wise! I am going to give a fresh coat of paint per son's request... he hated the color it is now, and of course still keep some of his things as well. Any suggestions or advice?

My son is Ship 4 Div 825 - We rec'd our "son in a box" on Thur 9/16 and the form letter on 9/17. He said they stayed up for 38 hours straight the first day?!?! Yikes! I wouldn't want to do it but as young as he is I'm sure it didn't bother him. We have 4 boys and he is our youngest.

I think the week does start on Saturday. Swimming is in week 2. I know that from the book I read!

According to what I think, not that I've heard anything they should be in week two. Not sure when the week starts. When I talked to my son on the 10th he had just finished stenciling his clothes and PT was going to start the next day. Does that mean the weeks starts on Saturdays?
@Lynne, was the swim section in week one? My son is a great swimmer, but a mediocre runner.

Hey guys, here is where I think our recruits are in the process. Hopefully one of us will get a letter soon that will tell us what week and what day they are according to the boot camp schedule:

2. Week Two - Week two finds you tired, irritable and wondering what the heck you got yourself into. You will get used to waking up at 0600, I promise. This week you will begin physical conditioning and participate in a confidence course. The focus for this week of training is team-building. You will learn to rely on your shipmates, and the confidence course is a big start.
3. Week Three - In a hands-on environment, this week you will learn first aid techniques, signalling with flags, the proper procedure to board and disembark a ship, and basic seamanship. You will do this training on a real ship situated in a large hangar. Your first PT (physical training) test is administered during week three, the areas tested are 1.5 mile run, push-ups and sit-ups. This is often called the PT0, because it is the starting point from which you will improve.
