I noticed the handwriting difference too. At first I didn't think it was my son's, then I realized they were supposed to write clearly and uniformly--the Navy way. I loved reading it over and over.

Once they start getting mail...they get it everyday...initially they can only write on Sundays...I think when they get to week 4 if their RDCs allow it they can write more often...here is hoping my son's RDC is nice...so Mr. RDC if you are reading this and snooping on here...I fully appreciate all the positive changes you are making in my son and would greatly appreciate being able to experience them on a more regular basis and keep my blood pressure in check..lol

Lynne- I cant wait until the real letters start coming. I had written so many letters throughout the first two weeks of this experience and I mailed them all today. I hope they make his day when he gets them all. They aren't really long or anything its just a little reminder of home I suppose and me. And I totally noticed what you were talking about with the handwriting! When I got my from letter I was amazed. When I wrote him this morning I told him that I had been worried that I wouldn't be able to read his handwriting that it was a surprise, good surprise.

I cried so hard today when I got my letter and he said I had to much to say and now I have nothing to say and I though yep good thing those questionaires are on the way...sounds just like my son. He just kept saying he loved me, well and the dog...but on the bright side I cam first. Is anyone else in here in DIV 357?? I see so many other divisions but not that one.

As far as meeting at Great Lakes we would do so the evening before, so Thursday night. It will probably get us through the evening because we will be so excited we won't be able to sit still.

Layla is making ribbons for anyone who wants them. They cost $5.00 each and they are really nice. There picture of them in the first probably 10 pages of this group. Check it out if you want one.

This Sunday will be their first opportunity to write a "real" letter vs. a form letter, at least for my son's division. I am so excited. I hope he can remember something to write. Sometime next week I expect that they will be getting mail. I just got in the mail today, the book that kind of details what several recruits went through at boot camp day by day. So once someone gets a letter that tells us what week and day they are on, according to how they are counting it at boot camp, I will try to start posting in general what they are doing if you want.

Won't they be surprised if we kind of have an idea what they are doing and when as we write to them????? hahahaha
