Lynne and proud mom thank you so much for responding. Wow I tear up just putting that. But its 130am and I can't sleep again. Its really hard sleeping without him the worst thoughts go through my head as I stare into the dark, what if hes hurt, what if hes scared and feels all alone and I'm not there for him. I know it will get better. I just wish he could let me know he's okay already. :-) It's really nice to have a place to express my feelings. Thank you guys again, and yes he's a part of the cardinal company. I have lots of pics that I can put up when i figure out how I'm not very computer savvy, John did all that for me, oh goodness here come the tears again lol I'm going to bed before I use another roll of tissues :-)

I feel lucky after reading some of the posts on this site about recruiters - the one he had has been great - have his cell number if I have had any questions during this process or guided me to where I can find the answers - very helpful.

He left Sept 3rd with the Cardinal Company - he sent it to me - I was going to call in the next few days - but he sent it to me & my daughter-in-law and told us to call if we had any questions.

HoooooooooooooYaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 11/05's My son PIRd last Thursday... Im here to say --- as JessicaB would say ... it is a roller coaster ride - actually Ill do one better on that...it is a roller farris coaster wheel! :o) Hummmm... advice - well, as I spent time with my son after grad day I did find out that - he LOVED the questionnaires that I made up for him.. He said he got so many long letters that he did not have time to read them all... but loved the questionnaires. You can tailor them of course to fit your recruites sense of humor... so - short letters or questionnaires every day~! Dont dispare if you do not hear from them very often.... seriously - all us PIR 09-02s camped at the mail box only to quite often be disappointed or sometimes thrilled to get two at a time! Remember, they are in a whole new world as my son put it and being taught the Navy way.... letters will come - phone calls will come - but VERY few and far between! I started a scrap book for my son for the future.... it has all his letters in it. I did post a little story about my experience up in your forum section under View all and PIR 09-02 Grad n Go... hope it helps... In about 4 weeks yall will be experiencing all new and different feelings... {{HUGS}}
