Welcome new moms & wives! I really tried to take a week off this site, but I'm hopelessly addicted. My sailor is home on leave this week, but he is out visiting friends tonight and I noticed a new PIR group - so wanted to say hello.

@JessicaB - thanks for getting the Grad & Go info posted above!

Must share one quick thing - my son was never a slob, but he wasn't very neat either. He's been home two days and has made his bed before he even comes downstairs! So they really do grow up in boot camp!! Okay, time to go, but I'll be back soon to cheer you guys on.

The day was awesome .. we went to Soldiers Memorial and watched them swear in .. then over to the park right by it for a family picnic .. then walked along the sidewalk as they marched to the Stadium.. along the way some people that were eating at Starbucks outside patio - stood up and clapped & cheered as they marched by.. very cool.. then at the stadium watching them out on the field was great.. then able to see him for about an hour.. they had to be out front by 830.. stood waiting for the bus .. then watched them load and drive away .. he called his wife around 3:30am to say that they had arrived and he should be able to call her in about 3 wks.. all I can say is it was an AMAZING day.. so proud of my son and all the other men there to serve our country!
