I snitched this from another group folks and it has great stuff in it for your sailor...oh isn't that fun to say.

I agree with you completely Angie and that is what I am going to do...but I met several new folks who want to join us...so I gave them 2 weeks to join our group!!

Kylesmom - I definitely think I need that Menopausal div!!! Your posts say exactly what I am feeling also! Such an awesome weekend - but the finality hit me hard too! This feels almost like it did the first days after he left! This independence is what we raised them for - but it's sooo hard! So thankful I have you Ladies to share the emotions with!

Came home and relit that blue candle and said a prayer for all our new sailors and us loved ones at home! Ok, gotta get off here and get busy so I quit crying!

Left GL this morning and in Nebraska. Had one of the best weekends in my life. I got to meet this awesome young man who is my SON!! He has grown and matured so much in the last 7 or so weeks. Dropping him off Sunday night was so hard. Like someone else said- he is starting his new life and won't be coming "home". He will be making his own home and moving on with his life. Oh we'll have visits and he'll come home to visit but he is growing up now. He has already made some good decisions about his future and it makes me proud that I too had a hand in all this. This weekend was great starting with the M&G and then at PIR. I will be here, but like Lynne says-- like our Sailors it's time to fly, I will be back often. Thanks for everything Moms. You got me through a rough 8 weeks. Jeanne

I will keep this chat room going as long as anyone keeps talking BUT we all also have to broaden our horizons as well...for each of us...our sailors are broadening their horizons. The selfish part of me wants to keep you here..in our own little group doing our own little things...but like a mom with her duckies...it is also time to let you fly...you have specialty groups to go to as well...for corpsman there are corpsman groups and Pensacola for those in aviation and special groups for subs...etc. but this is our home...kind of like the place where it all began or where we grew up and I will always be here...waiting like we will wait for our Sailors and those of you who made it to the meet and greet know how to contact me...and for those of you who didn't make it send me a message and I will sned you the same note i gave them...you are ready to fly...you have learned your lessons well...you are Navy proud and Navy strong...I am so proud to call you my family...this will always be your home!! I want stories...I want to hear about deployments, frustrations, accomplishments, hopes and families...because home is where the heart is...and you will always be in my heart!!
