Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

What a day.... Wasn't it awesome? Congrats to ALL of our new sailors. It has been a joy to go through this experience with each of you. Enjoy your time with your new sailor.

Lynne--great talking with you yesterday & so glad you made it safely! Keep me posted --this will always be her Ship/Div with having gotten so far with them!

It'll be weeks before my daughter is able to PIR based on her leg fracture healing. She remains in North Chicago VA Med. Center. Hoping to go to RCU this next week. Then with rehab, etc... back on track for a new PIR date!

Sailors--You make us PROUD!

Well right now you have tears running down your face and the sailors are marching in. I truely hope you all get to spend a lot of time with your sailor. Stay warm and please drive safely. Bravo Zulu and let me know what people thought of your ribbons.:-)

i originally started here but then the hubby was put into a push division and PIR'd 10/29.. i hope everyone has a blast over the weekend. cant wait to see those pictures..

We get to spend a few hours today with them. Hopefully 357 made HALL OF FAME. If so they get an extra hour of Liberty. My son flies out tomorrow morning. Hopefully we will be able to spend a few hours with him at the airport. SEE YOU ALL AT PIR!!!
