Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

KS....maybe you can keep your sites on him and when they call Liberty make a made dash..lol. Praying for you to get the hug..this no communication sucks doesn't it. Keep the faith..it will all be good!

NEED advice. Last Friday when my son called to tell me he was a sailor, he arranged for us to meet outside the door. THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY I CAN NOT HUG MY SON!!! So, what should I do. This was before he knew the rules and I learned them on here. Should one of us go outside and get him and bring him back in or what. I would like some pictures. I ALSO HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST ONE HUG!!!

Congratulations to all the new Sailors!!! WTG...lighting candle for tonights BS. Good Luck!!! Lynne I have a Yorkie too!!! she is 9 1/2 years old, weighs a whole 5lbs and if I asked her if she wanted to go I wouldn't be able to pack ..she would be under my feet too..LOL.

Talked to My Sailor:) BS21 was good. except he has the flu :/ other than that. he can't wait for friday and can't wait to see all of us :) :) Congrats to all the Divisions & all the New Amazing Sailors!!!!!!!

Well Karen...My car curently has a blue ribbon... one window that says Navy PIR or bust...and another that says I love my Sailor....lol

Navymom I actually talked to my son for about 10 min and I was in heaven...The first time I have heard his voice since he called and said I'm here and processing
