FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Kat: congrats on your son completing his run.
Lynne: I've been pretty positive today and I know that God's will shall be done for her. Regardless of how it ends, i love her for EVERYTHING she's done. I made sure that knows that when i spoke to her yesterday. Let's keep praying for Ali and the troubled recruits.

I think they will tell us when we get there through a video and such, and Dianne can probably answer too....OMG I am so excited I can't stand it and my Sophie (my dog) is on my heels everywhere I go she knows something exciting is happening...hello she sat on my toes in the bathroom...I know TMI...but really

Can someone clarify this for me - once inside the PIR hall, when can we start taking pictures and is there a specific time when we cannot take pictures inside the PIR hall. Would hate to get in trouble. I understand that this is the only place we can take pictures on base.

I'm obssessed about mine too Monica...my son is going to be so excited...he tells some not so intelligent girls...not like you of coure that she is minature pitbull and THEY BELIEVE IT...she weighs 3 lbs...lol
