Easttexasnavymomma:  She uses her home address for that account, set it up when she arrived up there.  No need to send it back to her.  My son did the same thing when up there and I would get all of his papers here too.  She won't have access to online during bootcamp.  She may have set up online access when she first opened the account though.  If she wants you to be able to access it to see her Navy deposits, etc. talk to her about it when she calls....she could give you the access info.  They usually receive their first pay direct deposit about 3 weeks after arriving at Bootcamp and are paid every 2 weeks.

My daughter has signed up for the navy federal. I am getting all her mail here. Do I need to forward this back to her? Will she be able to set up her online access there at basics?

Ok then, there you go. No matter how much of a fit he throws, he can not bump anyone from the list. Don't let him get to you and focus your emotions elsewhere :)

Bug,
Your situation is a hard one, most definitely. But remember, ultimately the decision lays in your SR's hands. Your son will decide who his three guests are and if he has a strong bond with both you and your ex, I would be willing to bet he puts both of you down. There are a lot of us who jumped the gun and purchased tickets for four of us which means one will stay behind at the hotel or the chappel and watch the live stream. Just remember that you still have time to spend with him afterwards. Him having to make the choice is going to be difficult in itself as I am sure he wants all of you there. Be patient and it will work out...

Good Day!!

This was my response to a new anxious momma in the boot camp forum. I was asked if I could repost it in our PIR and reference group so I am hoping this is where she meant :)

I truly can not speak for all the other mommas here except for the fact that we are all here and we love, miss, and are concerned for our SRs. I will have to say for me, the first three weeks are the hardest. Not knowing how they are Doing, and how they are feeling. And the wait, argh, for the letter and the phone calls. But now after hearing her voice a few times and reading her letters, I still miss her desperately but am more at ease.

I have recently stated that I do not think basics is really just to prepare our SR's but in a way to prepare us also. It's emotional but amazing. It's a rollercoaster but one I have definitely learned a lot from. I absolutely love hearing how my daughter is growing and changing and would not want to change that for anything in the world. Yes, again, I do miss her desparately.

I have made it a point, every morning when I wake up to make my cup of coffee and then sit down and write her a letter. I guess you can say I have created that as "our time". It may seem a little strange but having that 45 mins to an hour just focused on her makes it easier for me and helps be feel I am holding on to our connection while she is building her future and headed towards amazing things.....

Just my thoughts....
