We got a 5 min. phone call to tell us that we would have the extra ticket that we needed for PIR. He sounded exhausted, and a bit distracted, lost his voice during Capt. Cup today. All that is left is the Fire Training and BS. and he said that he is looking forward to seeing us on Friday.
No call here! Anyone else besides Sportsmom get one? Anyone from Div 024 get a phone call today??
It is STILL snowing here...we are now on our 2 foot mark...yes I meant to say FOOT ;) Ugghhh!!!! AND, it is still coming down!!! They first said 12-16 inches, I do believe we have surpassed that!!
Thanks for the updates everyone!
Cindy
Hi Lori,
I'm so happy for you!
Penny, Oh no! I'll be praying for good weather for all of our travels next week.
Well we now have over 7 inches of snow.... and still blowing.. Ugh!!!
BTW I have been told it is suppose to snow all across the Mid west into Michigan off and on till Thursday - for those who are driving please leave plenty of time for safety.
*******************************Graduation information**********************************
I just copied and pasted this from the Recruit Training Command Facebook page.
gates open at 6:30 a.m. and the ceremony begins at 9 a.m. Depending on the size of the graduation, the line of cars getting onto the base may or may not be long. If there's about eight or fewer divisions graduating, the line will move fairly quick. However, if there are about 11 or more divisions graduating, the line will be long and you'll want to arrive early.
No one will be allowed onto the base before 6:30 a.m., so if you arrive prior to that, you'll have to wait inside your vehicle lined up outside Gate 8 which is on Ohio Street.
As a reminder to all: Be sure you have your vehicle Gate Pass which allows you to bring your vehicle onto the base. You will not be allowed onto the base without it.*******************************************************************************
Lori, that's good. I'm glad that you got a confirmed date. My candle will be burning for them.
Ash received a letter - DIV 024 BS 21 is set for Monday night which confirms the data received earlier.
Leslie, I would say that a newborn sailor son would definetely trump brothers. lol
Penny, Cindy & Lala, stay warm and please don't share that white stuff with GL. lol
Kathy, ((hugs))
Lori, I bought long underwear and I live in NM. I guess we can't be too prepared, right?
