lukesgirl - It's the US Navy Recruit Training Command page. Just friend request it and you can see everything. They post post pictures of all of the graduations and pictures of the day. They also have someone from the RTC that answers questions that are posted. It's pretty cool.

Everyone else, lol - Glad to know that we are all getting good info about the travel arrangements! Susan

Hey, ladies! I'm actually from PIR 12/22, but have been lurking here since my hubby left on 10/28, lol.
Wanting to get your opinion on what I should do. My husband told me a couple of weeks ago that he'd book his flight home from bootcamp on Dec 1st, however there's nothing in our bank account stating that he purchased tickets. Should I just get them now or wait? Worried because I think my PIR group has a deadline of 12/10 to submit the tinerary. So frustrated, lol

A flurry of posts; activity on our comment wall sure has picked up - MUST BE GRADUATION IS ONLY 2 WEEKS AWAY! Congrats to Sportsmom-whatever the award sounds like it is an elite and special achievement. Very special! Twosilvas - sounds like you can rest well tonight knowing your SR can get home - whew!

I am looking for a suggestion for a gift for my son. I am looking for something that says "I wish I was there" and "I am so proud of you" It is starting to sink in that I am going to miss out on this special day. I am glad my husband (and I think my brother) will be there. I will see my son later on Friday night here in California which makes it a little easier.

I believe the flag designer(s) is the person or person in the division who design the Division Flag. Ever flag is different and designed by one or more SR's in that division. They are always awesome and I would guess the person(s) chosen to design it are very artistic from the ones I have seen. There are some very talented sailors in our Great US Navy!!!!

Tysmom, I'm glad that you got more information and feel better. I had a feeling that they are just so busy that it's hard to keep up with it all.

UPDATE: I did make a call and was told that they have over 1,500 graduates to process travel information on and they do NOT deny anyone traveling that the most would be that they would simply need more information. I explained that I sent the flight itinerary on Sunday, but had emailed that again, with route specifics and vehicle information and he said that was exactly what was needed. I'm breathing a sigh of relief after speaking to him! They have everything they need from me the rest is up to them! Congratulations sportsmom, that is great! Congratulations to all the momma's of graduates! I'll see you all soon. Great Lakes is around the corner and I have a feeling it - we - or our sailors will ever be the same after this!
