Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I kissed and hugged him and watched him walk away
Headed for Bootcamp he was leaving that day.
He stood tall and proud as he walked and waved
I coundn't be happier of the road he has paved.
The calls and the letters to say how he has done
I couldn't be prouder of my Navy Son.
He has stayed so strong and so very true
To the dream of the Gold and the Blue.
He is now a United States Sailor so very proud
It makes me so happy I want to scream it out loud.
Please take care of him God on his journey so new
It makes it easier for me knowing he has You.
Oh Ellen, that is wonderful. Merry Christmas!
Hi Friends!!
"Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers,
and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord."
Proverbs 16:20
Thanks, Thewatchgoddess. I was wondering if they stretched BattleStations through last night for this PIR group to allow those who had not passed their run one more chance...they would have run yesterday, but with no more BattleStations this week due to holidays coming up, they could have passed their run but would not have been able to become a sailor with no BattleStations available to them. I was SO hoping that is what they would do....doesn't give the 900 divisions much time to rest before they perform on Friday though. I appreciate the info!
ellen: Your guy takes the award for giving his mom the best gift ever! Hasn't he now surprised you twice???? Enjoy! Such a great thing!
Good morning! My son, who has been stationed in Japan since June, was sent to the Philippines with Operation Damayan. I haven't talked with him since he left, other than a couple FB chats and emails, and leaves were postponed for the holidays due to their helping with the relief. I was very sad that he wouldn't be home for the holidays, but very proud of him and what the others were doing.
Yesterday, much to my surprise, he walked in my front door and said Merry Christmas mom. It's going to be a good Christmas. :)
HOOYAH! I have another sailor! I finally got a response from his Dad on fb this morning. What a relief. I just texted my son to let him know his friend made it!
Now, Ladies, I have a favor, I do not believe he has anyone coming to PIR tomorrow his Dad is still in Japan, so if you think you have room in your plans and your cars to spend some time with this young man, send me a friend request and I will give you his name via private message. And no worries if you can't, I know he will be home soon. He is Ship 13 Div 37.
Safe travel today!
Still hoping to find out what night the 900 divisions went through BattleStations so I can add it to the schedule in the discussion group above...just to have a record of it. If anyone knows, please post! Thanks!
Enjoy Sarge's MeetandGreet tonight! And....be EARLY to PIR tomorrow....Sarge's hint: If driving (rather than taking shuttle....we took shuttle and it was very easy!).....on Buckley Road, stay to the left as you approach RTC....line of cars will be on your right to get into RTC. Bypass RTC....turn around right past it in or near the train station parking lot. Head back towards RTC on Buckley from opposite direction. Easy left turn into RTC and no waiting! :-)
Good Morning!
