That is nice everybody my son will not be home until end of August when he graduates A school but I will be visiting him there in May. A school is 6 months then he has another year of schools after that haha.

It is great to hear that some of the Sailors are coming home for a short visit.  I won't get to have mine home till after August 30 when he graduates from school.  His schooling is 6 months and he just started last Monday.  I am hoping to get to Pensacola to see him before than.

He took his first test today and scored an 80 which he said is real good considering the test was real hard.  Phase 2 hopefully starts this weekend only if he gets his papers signed which he didn't do last week.

tacki...what is BESS?   Have you been able to go back to GL and see him?

I am so happy some of you are getting your Sailors home.  Mine is still at RTC on med hold...now he is waiting for a waiver to move on to Groton.  He will have 8 weeks of BESS then off to A school somewhere for a while.  So I will have to go to him wherever he goes, because he wont get to come home until after A school.  So once again waiting patiently or at least trying to be patient

My son had orders to Sasebo USS Harpers Ferry. LSD 49. He graduated A school Wednesday. Was coming home for 20 days, but was put on Hold. He did receive a 5 day leave and is home now. :) Will have to report back to his A school till he receives new orders or they allow them back into Japan. I am thinking it will be a while before any new military Navy/Marines/Air Force/Army.... will be sent over there for a new duty station.
