This is the final test for your recruits. When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

dee.....My son didn't have any wisdom teeth. He had gone for his cleaning a week before he left and they did a full set of xrays and found none. So it is possible for him to only have 3. Sometimes if they are wisdom teeth on the top they can be as far up as the sinus cavities.
Our SR in in the same div so at least we know it was a division thing rather than a SR thing. It is a tough bone to swallow seeing everyone else with calls. But there is always tomorrow as we say to those who haven't gotten their letters yet.
You guys are killing me with the phone call news. I'm trying to pull up my big girl pants and be a good sport, but I'm so jealous. No call here.
Did get a questionnaire back that was cute. He continues to complain about his crooked glasses. Guess he had to do a bunch of push ups for forgetting a period on the log. Oh, and he has 3 wisdom teeth to come out. Wonder where the 4th one is?
Mapa@ I know where your at. My letter from last week said Mom I want you to know how much I love and miss you. I hate it here. I want to come home. Ok so my heart sank into my stomach when I read that. Then I read the questionaire that he sent back with the letter...the part Do you know within the depest depts of your heart how very much I love you? Answered Yes Mother. I do know. I love and miss you. It hurts...well I think my heart was in my feet at that point. Then I read.....I want to come home but I know I need to be here to have a good start to my life....hmmm...I thought. He is maturing...and even though he is miserable...he is going to do his best to finish...He also said he passed out when he got all of his shots...I felt so helpless.....I cried for days....I still don't have anything else. but I have been sending him letters every day...He said MORE LETTERS is what he needed....so I have had all of his friends and family to write letters this week. I hope you feel better soon...I know it's hard...and I struggle daily too...I'm here if you want to talk....
ok sorry for running off but getting that call as i on the way to get my grandsons and take my son to wrestling...
He is doing ok..He is ready to see us for sure he said, He said he has been breaking out in hives when they do a specific run in a specific area,, he threw up twice,, So he is not sure,, maybe overheating???? He ran avidly here so he is use to running.. I asked him if he told the RDc since he was in hives and red and he said "yea adn he told me to clean up my throw up and get running" hahahahahahaha I said well thats BC for ya! He has passed all his test so far, THey did get in trouble, they had their stuff searched I guess while they were doing some training and when they came back everything was thrown out and thier leaders(?) had them do the hour of IT. He said it sucked!
He does know all the 804 names I have given but all of them are on the other side of the ship so they dont get a chance to really meet.
BUT this is for BB.... he said your sons bunk mate came and asked him if he was *************. I laughed and i said cause I know his mom on N4M and she must of told him your name too , he laughed and said I was wondering?/ Hahahhaha he even pronounced all yours names better then I could!
He said they eat 3 times a day and most of the time he is not hungry cause they are so tired but he eats cause he its there and he doesnt want to get hungry later. He does iron in the middle of the night.
One test they did was to some training with some "motivators" and they had to dive in 55 degree water then they had to go to another pool that was at 33 degrees and start with the toes and slowly do specific body parts as told until they reached the shoulders.
We got 14:32 that call and then the 2 minute teaser right before that...
You could hear the RDC yell ONE MINUTE and then it was LETS GO!! LETS GO!!
I have to be honest when he called the first time, I was in the middle of replying on here and when I saw the 847 area code,, I answered and started crying. I quickily regained my composure knowing I needed to stay strong and not waste any time.
I have cried off and on tonight because I know he is frustrated with his knee and the hives and he said it was tough with all of that happening with the type of division he is in.
Does anyone know how RPO are appointed/assigned? I read all the descriptions on the RTC site, but it doesn't really state the criteria or method....but it sure seems like a lot of our guys and gals were given assignments! I'm assuming that's a positive thing. Maybe Arwen, Lynne or JessicaB can answer?
