This is the final test for your recruits.  When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

This protester thing is really getting out of hand!  It makes me sick that they would do this to our military!  I agree that the protesters should not get any attention at all - I am going to look into the Patriot Guard Riders  -   Thanks for sending the site.

My home town had protesters today.... makes me ill.  Marine Cpl. Johnathan Taylor memorial service was held today in Citrus County, FL.  He was only 23, KIA during his 4th war tour... what a BRAVE young man!!  People are pathetic! I want to share this link with you.  Protesters do not deserve the attention they are getting,  Patriot Guard Riders do!!!  I plan to join their organization and help and I hope others will as well.  Love and hugs to all our Military!!!

Just something to make you all giggle.

According to a news report, a certain private school in Washington was recently faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick, they would press their lips on the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night the maintenance man would remove them, and the next day the girls would put them back. Finally the principal decided that something had to be done.

She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night (you can just imagine all the yawns from the little princesses).

To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required. He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it.

Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror.

There are teachers. . . and then there are educators.

Hi all - I just finished speaking with a Blue Star Mom and she shared some advice with me, that I want to share with all of you.  She said if your Sailor is going over seas, and you don't have a passport, you should get one now and keep it handy.  Don't lock it up in a safe deposit box or anything like that where you can't get to it because the bank is closed.  She said the reason is, if your Sailor gets injured and you need to get to him/her in a hurry, you will need a passport.  She stated this is something most people don't really think about so it is the first piece of advice that she shares.

Hi everyone.. I wanted to let you all know I attended my first "Blue Star Mom" meeting!  It was awesome.. they do so much in the community for our military men and women, the care packages go all over and automatically your son/daughter, spouse will get one!  We are going to help a wounded warrior in our community in a few weeks.  The moms there were great and some have boys in Afghanistan right now and told stories that were just heart breaking and some that were so joyous!  I highly recommend if you can, to find your local chapter and get involved. We are now part of the military and need to do what we can to help them as much as we can. There are more and more people against the military (Westboro church), that we have to be diligent in showing our support and helping in every way we can.  I recruited 2 of my sons friends moms, who are Marine moms, and 1 off the N4M NM group.
