This is the final test for your recruits. When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

himmie- Now look what you have done! Had to go get toilet paper cause I used up the last of the kleenex's after I just read your post. Your daughter is a sweetheart. And you tell her that God did put that rock there for her to find for her brother and everything happens for a reason, and it was meant to be.
WOW!!! It looks like the mail vibes worked today. It looks like a lot of you got your first letter/letters and some already got their second letter/letters. I am seeing that most of the SR are enjoying the food. And that everyone pretty much gets the same time to eat and take showers. It is very interesting reading the comments on letters that moms have received from their SR.
I am sure going to miss my daughter when she goes back to school. With my son being gone at bc and the other at his dad since Christmas we were able to do some good old fashioned girl bonding. Today we went in town and there was a new store so in we went. My daughter had brought some money with her and was dying to spend it on something. After looking around for a while she came up to me and said she found what she wanted. I looked and what she had in her hand and she had a flat rock that was hand painted with her brothers name on it. She said that she was going to buy this for him to give to him at PIR and that God must have known that we were coming into the store because this was the only rock that wasn't in a bowl, it was just sitting out on a counter. Yes, I started to cry in the store and she looked over at the women behind the counter and said my mom does this when anything reminds her of my brother who is in the Navy.
So, the other boy came home from his dads tonight before I left for work and I was talking to him and I told him that I missed him, no comment from him, I said it again two more times. Finally he said "Yeah, I missed ya too". And than said to me"Now that my brother is gone and in bc are you going to start acting all strange towards me now?" I had to laugh because he was right. I have become different myself since my son left for bc.
angie- see inbox, and good for you on the letters! I knew they would start coming! I am getting more excited every day about Feb 11th....I just wish the rest of you would get excited too!!
