This is the final test for your recruits.  When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

I got a letter today! He sounds very homesick. He said there are times when he feels like giving up but he has never given up on anything and is not about to start now!

I wrote him another letter assuring him that he CAN do this and just to keep his head up. Graduation will be here before you know it.

YaY got 2 letters from my son today, he got his wisdom teeth pulled on the 22nd,he said they don't hurthe was still able to eat just had to eat slower lol. said there is a reason we could never find out much info about the 800 divisions lol. they are exspected to be perfect in everything. said they pt 3 times a day and train the other times they have during the day. they have been told they have the best RDC's on the base and he believes it. said all of them are working together to keep the Chief happy so he will show them some stuff lol typical of our boys in 804. I was happy to hear they are all working together to do well. he did make me cry, he asked how Christmas was and said it didnt feel like Christmas to them except at dinner they gave him a piece of apple pie that made him think of my homemad apple pie. (NOW THAT IS A TEAR JERKER)

I received two letters today from my son Div 68.  He did say all but  10 had to go to the dentist and about half had to get wisdom teeth pulled.  On Christmas while he was at church someone did something and they had to do extra pt all day.  He also liked Christmas dinner roast beef, turkey , ham and pies.  Sounds like they are doing well. Their RDC are starting to joke with them, instead of yelling.  And on the 24th the Master Chief Petty Officer came to visit and they had to do more work to get ready for him.  On the 26th they had time to write so hope everyone gets mail soon.

Ladies:  I know this doesn't take the place of hearing the sound of your recruit's sweet voice, but in the Navy, NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!  So assume all is well unless you hear otherwise!  As Arwen said on one of the PIR sites, they are trying to get you used to not talking to your recruit/sailor because during deployments, communication can be lost for long periods of time. Not easy for us, for sure!

Hopefully something soon!

PIR is approaching faster than you may realize :) That's a good thing right? The sooner the better. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. It is not too late to order ribbons if anyone
still wants some to wear to PIR please let me know. They are about the
size of your hand, they are a great way to show pride for your sailor
and to recognize other N4M members and they make a great keepsake that
can even be placed in a frame or scrapbook. They are only $5.00 each, I
don't make them for a profit, and no matter how many you get shipping
is only $5.00 for Priority flat rate box. If you would like to order
some just click on my name and send me a friend request and I will send
you the info. Thanks and have a Happy New Year!!!    LaLa

All I've gotten is the form letter, still waiting for a letter or phone call.  Getting really bummed out.
