Lexsmom....So Navy runs in your family???  My uncle served on a Naval Hospital Ship during WW11.  And my sister enlisted in the Army in 76.

My son never was big on church, but I think he will be now.  Religion and Navy go together.  It is what gets them through tough times.

Himmie- I can't wait for a letter from my girl about how she spent her Christmas. Hoping she is enjoying chuch. He dad was a SeaBee years ago, he told her church service was awesome and that she should attend. Oh did I forget to mention her dad was a Navy man along with both Grandparents. (they met in the Navy, both were HMs like her!!)

Lexsmom.....We made it through Christmas and so did our recruits.  My son found going to church on Christmas Eve and Day very relaxing and gave him time to think.  It also gave him time away from the RDC.

Heather S, thank you so much for getting back to me! I'm so in the dark here about everything!

mamawalrus, I found this site actually on facebook. I looked up navy wives on there and there were a few people that recommended this site so I figured I'd give it a shot! So far I've been very pleased, I've actually found out a lot just by reading some of these comments.

himmie, I know what you mean about the time flying by. Sometimes it feels like yesterday that our kids left, and we didn't think we would make it through the holidays without them. We did make it through, and so we wait for a word or two from them everyday. Won't be long before we are meeting and greeting then sitting like kids at Christmas waiting for them to walk through the door at PIR!

battlebuddy....Maybe soon than for the letters.  I will send mail vibes your way and everyone elses way. I have been so busy at work that the weeks are starting to go by fast for me.  But when I look back on the day he left, it seems like it happened longer ago than 12/8.
