This is the final test for your recruits. When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

So far, only 3-4 of us for DIV 073 ... you're right about the SEA of color --- so what if ALL the N4M at that PIR wore ONE color? Maybe streaked with the color of their division? So we'd pick something outstanding (or maybe someone could make something cool), and then streak it with the colors below? Just a thought --- then it would be easy to spot another N4M member, even if not a shared division ....
I know there's not much time, so we have to think fast --- 45 days will go quick .... thoughts?
Hello ladies, I'm very new to this group and so far it's looking very overwhelming. My husband left for basic December 13th and is Ship 09 Div 071, I've received a few phone calls from him and only the packet about graduation. I've read a little bit about a scarves thing going on for graduation and that sounds fantastic! Can I get some more info on that? And I read a little bit about a Navy hotel for families? I was really hoping to be able to stay in the same room as my sailor for graduation but I'm really not sure how any of this works.. I'm pretty much in the dark over here and it's quite irritating lol.
I also want to say congratulations to all your sailors, they are very brave and noble!
Just the form letter, the 2 real letters and that "fat" envelope that I got yesterday. that I thought was a letter, but was her paperwork! No phone call for me either...
I am not complaining....just saying
I am curious if ANYONE from Div067 has gotten a phone call from their kids
I searched and searched and finally found the post by Arwen about the scarves! I posted it below....I think its a GREAT idea too....but I also wonder if it will really have the effect that we think since Arwen also posted that not all divisions are represented on N4M and most are represented by 8-10 at the most......
I'd LOVE to see a SEA of baby blue scarves for Ship 09/Div 067 (HOORAAH 067 as lexmom's SR says)....but is that going to happen with only 5 or 6 of us representing DIV 067? What are everyone elses thoughts?

The easiest place to find scarves of specific colors is online. Last year we did different color scarves for each division. Most of us coordinated our outfits to go with our scarves. I bought a $15 gold one from Amazon, and a $70 cashmere Navy blue scarf from Land's End (they do have cashmere yellow scarves too - very warm and luxurious).
How about something like this:
Div 063 - red
Div 064 -orange
Div 065 -yellow
Div 066 -green
Div 067 -light (sky) blue
Div 068 -navy blue
Div 069 -lavender
Div 070 -purple
Div 071 -pink
Div 072 -white
Div 073 -black
Div 074 -grey/silver
Div 804 -gold/tan
Div 912 -brown
