This is the final test for your recruits.  When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

Let me share with you....  His days are pretty blurred together.  He said the first week he was home sick and almost wondered why he did this, and he is not as homesick as he was. (then he put LOL)  Pretty intense the first week adjusting to everything and they are always doing something,  He said the 800 Division is treated pretty harsh by the RDC's. He said the RTC;s are the "bees knees" for perfection and instruction.  He can write on Sunday and holiday routine (dont know what that means?)

He said " I really miss you all alot!!!! He asked about all of us and then said to tell his two friends heading to the Marines to "be Prepared"! hahahahahaha (his laugh)  He ended it with he had to get back to shining his boots and he will be EXPECTING a letter....(little does he know we have sent at least 5  :) )  He then drew a picture of our two indoor dogs at the bottom.

I cn tell he has not rec's our letters yet by his comment and he sounds liek himself for the most part... he did tell my mom BC was not what he expected,, LOTS of marching.,,,he said he was ready to finish BC and get to Pre Buds)

like so many, it is really bitter sweet to see how many are starting to get letters. Those of you who are posting please, please don't stop, i know for me it does help in some way to be getting some sort of information. Yes it is terribly difficult to wait, wonder, and wait some more.

I got a letter too!!  Says that they can only write on Sundays, but can receive letters every day.  He only got one letter so far, from my parents, had not received any of mine yet (I've written almost every day since I got the address), and although we wrote at the same time, they live much closer.  He did say his Division was Grad & Go, so now I need to read up on that....Just like everybody else, the letter was the best Christmas present I could ever get!!  Now maybe a phone call tomorrow!!

What a nice Christmas Present some of you recieved today!!! I am glad that those of you finally got a letter from your recruit.  As I am happy for all of you I am feeling a little sad right now.  I wasn't going to sign onto N4M because I didn't want to be sad today, but here I am sitting here crying.  I wanted so bad to have a letter today also.  Well, there is always next week.
