Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I was at a funeral this week and the Navy Honor Guard was there (he had been in the navy in the '70's). I talked with the HG for a while before the funeral and told them my son was at BC. One of them asked if I knew what his rate was going to be and told her what it was. She was so excited because she is trained for the very same job! She said I should hear from my son more often because he will have to call for info for his specific paperwork. yippee! that was good news.

Battlebuddy- that made me cry! My grandfathers we my hero's they have been gone a while, oh... How I miss them! My SR has them watching over him and protecting, and so does yours!
We have already celebrated hannukah (at least it was early this year) so I wish all of you to get a call or a letter for your special holiday!

Praying for strength tomorrow...1st Christmas eve without my Grandpa who passed away at 89 years old in May. He was the 1st love of my life and my hero. 1st Christmas without my son....He was the 2nd love of my life and is now my hero.  I am also praying for a phone call for Christmas....that would be the ultimate Christmas present for me....I promise I have been good Santa..... I just hope he has too so he might possibly get to call.......

3boysSheryl and Cin...i'm ship11 div 064.  glad to find others too. no letters, one of my sons buddies is home on leave, finished boot was grad n go and went to FL (same as my son), anyway, he told me yesterday they can't mail letters until their second liberty sunday (that would be this sunday) so i guess next week we will all feel w whole lot better.  it's nice to talk to someone who just went through it....

ProudNavyWife, just a thought, you may have a long journey ahead of you, but the gift at the end will be worth the time...You get to see your recruit and....meet all the N4Ms too!! we are blessed someone started this site for us moms who need to fret laughg and cry together. Everyone understands!
