UGHHHHH....I am more upset because we are leaving early tomorrow until Jan 2nd out of town and my mail wll be held at post office...I could so cry right now.......I WANT MY LETTER! Sorry guys,,, I guess I am just having my few moments of poor me.....I know he is missing us to and I am thankful for my other kids and family and my sons maturity to step up and serve his country and be such a role model to his younger siblings. BUT I cant hide my feelings that I miss him, I wont be here to get his letter for the next 9 days!!!!!!! That is torture and I hate it.
I to thank you all for sharing the letters with us,,,, I imagine us all in a circle listening to every word! LOL It is a sense of comfort to us all to hear from them through you......please continure to share with us!
theresa proud navy mom - My son in Ship 09 Division 070. I have gotten the form letter and that special call that he got during security interview. No other correspondence like a personal letter. SOON!
Send2Herb - what state do you live in? We are all the way on east coast in Virginia... assuming physical distance can affect how long it takes to receive letters!
GREAT DAY...First letter recieved from our guy on Ship 004 Division 804...All is well..Food better than expected and never knew he could fold his clothes and make his bed so many times in one day....
For those who were in doubt about the "plus four" on the zip code 60088-7103 is correct.
Wishing all other's good communications soon. His letter was dated 12-18.
aprul....my son and your rct are in the same ship and div....glad to hear they are getting their mail...my son got a call on the 11th because he accidently sent his drivers license home in his pocket....my son is not a big writer, so I dont really expect alot of mail from him, but I keep doing my part by sending the letters, so that he knows he is loved and is being thought about....this is the first christmas in 19 years without my son...really really hard on me....just keeping fingers crossed that he will call me on saturday....would much rather talk to him on saturday than to receive a letter
battlebuddy....it is very hard to keep your cool when you see the 847 area code....i ran in place for a second....and tried to get a grip, didnt help....keep a piece of paper near by and write down some of their words so you can read them over and over....remember to be positive and strong...they need it, it is as hard on them being away for the holidays as it is us....keep crying and keep venting on here it helps....we are here to support each other...dont know what i would have done if i didnt find this website
