This is the final test for your recruits. When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

Hey All,
I wanted to let you know that I talked to my recruit last week on Sunday. he said he was one of the very few who got phone calls home. He said that Sunday was their first day to write back and that they have been receiving our letters. He said be patient as the mail takes a while and that he is right about the "No news is good news" He said they know we want to hear from them and if they could call everyday they would. But he said calls are earned. You have to earn them, pass tests, and even doing that you wont always get one. But he said the letters are awesome. So keep writing ladies and keep your heads up. I will keep you all posted as hope you will keep me posted when each of you hear something. Good Luck and look for your letters in the mail...remember ladies some of us are futher away than others so mail takes another day or two to reach us! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! Talk to you all soon!
Just a quick quote: *Smile, it improves your face value!*
TLS = I've been on here every day, and I'm lost too. I don't intend to offend anyone, but there seems to be way too many suggestions being tossed around regarding scarves, ribbons, etc. Whomever is taking charge should start a discussion above so we can all find the information more easily. Please & thank you!
I need some help ... I just can't keep up on everything. I've been working 15-16 hours days, then doing Christmas shopping and volunteer work for my church at night -- I got on N4M for the first time this morning before work and am on PAGE 14 and STILL don't have all the info ...
I want in on the ribbons, scarves, shirts --- whatever we're doing. Looks like my division is black, which is cool. I have RSVP'd for the M&G ... I will be staying at the SpringHill Suites (I get a discount there) ... can someone provide ALL of the details in one post?
My daughter is in Ship 09, Div 073 (I started our own discussion --- only 2 other moms there), and is headed to Meridian MS after PIR.
Thanks ... and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
To all PIR 2-11-11:
I am making a Navy ribbon with a thin yellow ribbon that runs down the middle.
Then I was going to get letters to put on there with PIR date and name of sailor.
So make sure you include your sailor name and return address so I can send it back.
Some of the moms are sending supplies and some are sending money orders.
Also how many you will need for your group?
If you private message me or email me I will give you my address. Dont want anyone stalking me so dont want to post that publicly.
I also private messaged everyone yesterday in the PIR group 2-11-11.
So make sure you check your inbox for messages in the upper right hand corner.
My personal email address if you need to reach me after work hours is avvegte@gmail.com
I can’t wait to make these and it will keep me busy for a couple weeks too!!!
Thanks again and can’t wait to meet you!
Pench - Congratulations on the letter! It's good to hear that our boys are able to finally write home. Thank you for sharing.
BB - If you bake me cookies, I will send you letters in the mail :-)
