Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Frazcom21! Woo hoo! I know, my son was whispering too and sounded really tired. What division is your hubby? Mine is 070. I wonder if they know each other! We talked for almost 20 minutes. His 10 year old sister was so happy to hear his voice. He was concerned I'd bought my tickets to fly out already b/c he sd his division COULD get bumped to a later PIR date. I hope not!

Good morning all. good to see some of you have received calls and are gettin your hotels taken care of. I am missing my son, been having a rough week with my mom in the ER two differant days and I have test today to find what is wrong with the stomach. just seems like a lot going on. praying my belly trouble isnt serious nothing meds can't fix. uuuuggghhhh

The Meet and Greet Information is posted above in the Discussions, so that it doesn’t get lost down here. Please RSVP as soon as you can, as I will need to provide a head count, mid-January. Many people will still start off at the Ramada, then venture over to Anastasia’s and that is ok. Thanks everyone for coming together to make this a great time for all of us!
And a BIG THANKS to you veteran mom’s who keep providing us with advise and words of encouragement. Personally, I don’t know what state of mind I would be in right now, if I were not receiving all this great information from all of you! Your time and dedication is very appreciated!

GREAT NEWS!! My recruit got to call home yesterday! I had taken off work early to prepare for a holiday party we hosted and at 3:15, he called! He and I had a rough year and our relationship was not great when he left, but absence certainly makes the heart grow fonder! I teared up! He is a CTT so he was just fininshing with his security clearance interview and had to gather some info for the forms so he got to call me and his dad!
He said he is very tired, it's much harder than he thought and he's "puked" 4 times due to physical conditioning (he was not is great shape when he left). His division was on hold for close to two weeks, so as of yesterday, he was only on Day 2 of real boot camp. They were starting PT officially yesterday. He says he's made friends, but that's not necessarily a good thing b/c they get in trouble for talking!
So exciting!! It is amazing when you get to hear their voice!
