This is the final test for your recruits. When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

lol, bring in your own soda or water. I have no idea if they let you bring in beer or wine. I didn't try that. And it is free other than if you buy drinks. It is a little dark and there are a lot of people there talking so it may seem a little loud but if you had it somewhere else and there were that many people I think it would also be loud. The people at the Ramada were very nice and accommodating to us. We had this whole oreo theme going on all through bootcamp because we were stressed and everyone seemed to be eating Oreos. So all the moms and wives brought a pack of oreos to the Meet and Greet and they set up an extra table for us to share those. We had several packs (like 15) that didn't get eaten so we donated them to a local charity. We had such a great time, we took over the hallway and the lobby before it was over with.
We had 13 divisions graduate and we took 4 extra people and none of them had to wait. I would definitely go!!!
You did all that in in the last week, Dorrio? Wow! I can barely get my backside off the couch after work. And don't get me wrong, he's not the neatest either. I just went in there and found an empty glass with this loverly crust-age of left over milk! And I still miss him?
Hi Dorrio....sorry i may missed this on another post.... what is your RCT division? I guess we all should decide to just go to Ramada and leave if we feel its not working out or....... Did you read the link that Jessica put on ? This is where I got one of the comments about not holding it there. I have to moms that have already been to PIR and they both said they were not to impressed and recommended having it elsewhere...But we are one group so what does everyone think??? Lala is giving us the side of it not being to bad. Lala..one question,, you mention bringing in own drinks/? you mean like your own bottle of wine, 6 pack of beer, 2 liter of coke?
Eileen - Here's the deal with PIR. There are no "tickets" You bring the form letter, and ID'S, or if the children are under 12, birth certificates OR state issued ID's. (only like 20$). They check you in and let you go. And stamp your hand.
If the kids are 12 or under they don't count to that alotted 4. Just as I told Sailors girl, it's usually not a problem to get 1 extra person in. But if you try bringing more than 1 extra, it aggitates people, because then if they have 1 extra, they may not be able to get in because you brought say 3 or 4 extra..Its just a courtesy issue. Of course, the ENTIRE family wants to get in and see it...but that just can't happen. Simply not enough space. Worry about getting adults in first, they're usually more leanyant with children, because they take up less space.
@dorrio---No letter here either. Isn't it the pits? I got the box a week ago Friday, and just don't feel like I can go on and plan without the official letter.
On another note, I'm having a hard time cleaning out the room my son stayed in for the last few months. Anyone else? Haven't even washed his dirty socks and clothes from the box. And he's been out of the house for 4 years, except these last few months, not sure what that is about. Maybe tomorrow. :-) Maybe I'll clean it out when I get the letter. Hopefully it comes before my other son comes home.
sailorsgirl - REST ASSURED HUNNY, I was in the EXACT same position. You WILL be able to go. Don't worry about it:) Generally, 1 extra is NO big deal. Just have proper ID on you and go in with them to graduation, and tell them you're an extra and you should be perfectly fine, they will let you in right away. If for some reason it's a big, very packed PIR then you will be put in a side room and let in after everyone is seated. (I was let in right away, and there were quite a few divisions). 10 I beleive.
You will be fine, don't worry:) kids 12 and under don't count towards that 4 people allotted, I dont know if they're under 12 or not, hope this helped!
My son listed on his letter Whoever can make it - on each line. I also wonder can we get more than 4 tickets. He has three brothers plus the two of us.
GOT MY LETTER>>>>>this is his comments...
"I'm alive, dont worry, This place is alright, its only Monday, I hope you all are doing well. Tell everyone I love them all, write me in about a week or two. We can only write on Sundays, also food is AWESIME!"
OMG, write him in a week or two??? Is he kidding. hahahahaha Wait till he gets all the letters. hahahahahahahahhahahaa
So glad he loves the food. the part about being alive is funny, guess he figured I was going crazy wondering about him. Thank you GOD!
