This is the final test for your recruits. When they pass this, they are sailors and trade in their recruit cap for their sailor cap in a capping ceremony afterwards. The ship they do this on was designed by Disney, so it is very realistic. During…Continue

The form letter came today!!! His PIR date is 2/11/11. There was also a small letter from him on the last page saying to write lots, send small pictures and that he loves me. Awwwww... I feel so much better now. Silly how a letter can make or break ya. The one thing he didn't like was that they are allowed only 4 guests at the graduation. We have 4 in our family, but he wanted his grandparents there also. He didn't want to make that decision so he left it up to me to make it. Thanks....took the easy way out and emailed my mom who I am sure will be upset, but having his brother and sister there is more important I would say.
My son left 12/8 so maybe those of you who haven't gotten the form letter yet will get it soon. Glad that everyone here is going to be in my sons graduation group. Looking forward to talking to some new moms as well as the moms from the other groups that I have been talking with.
Nothing today on form letter on my end either... :( I want that confirmation dang it.

A good freind of mine, who is a Marine mom, sent me this morning. Thought I would share it with my NAVY moms. Enjoy the laugh :)

Finally got my sons address!!! The recruiters office forgot to give me his division number which I called right back wanting. He is Ship 02 Div 912. His PIR date is 2/11 unless his RDC changes it because of the whole holiday thing. I am a very happy mom right. How funny is it that something as simple as an address can make your whole day.
@Lynne - That is too cute! I will be printing and mailing to my son!
That gives me hope for mine this week,,,,,my son left the 8th> So fitting that its so close to Christmas as all these "presents" are so exciting to get!
My son left for bc on December 7th. Yes he did write a quick note on the bottom but it didn't really give me any clue as to how he is doing. I can't wait to get a real letter!
Shauna-awesome....when did your son ship out? How exciting,,, was he able to write anything?
diannep-DITTO!
