Kimbas do you know what ship he will be on? My husband says they have very little room so he has mostly clothes and his uniforms, his ship will leave soon. but he said to send him candy, snacks, and little stuff to pass time and whatnot. My hubby works out a lot so he got an iPod but tell him to be super careful on the ship. There is a stealing epidemic. lol the sailors say there is only one thief in the navy everyone else is tryin to get their stuff back. Its a vicious circle. You can find a group for his ship I bet, also I am probably going to send cakes in a jar while he is gone. He said nothing to big is the main thing when I asked what he wanted for the deployment.

Hi all just checking in.....my son had chosen to dor from SEALs and is trying to find his place now, he was very depressed seems better. Luckily for us we got a suprise he is home for 10 days during thanksgiving, woohoo...He will soon be deployed on a ship and have many questions about that but the main ones are can we get him anything he may find useful while he is deployed and any sites or forums available for that?  Many thanks, have a blessed holiday all!

oh my!! that happens on the ship my hubby is on ALL the time! If you leave it out people will take it! he said this kid got some dirty socks stolen!! and he said they smelled raunchy! My friend buys her hubby all hot pink stuff so ppl wont steal it as much! They say there is only one thief in the navy everyone else is trying to get their stuff back! you have to watch out for uniforms people will steal those in a heartbeat!
