Good morning everyone, I hope you all have a great Saturday! I am re-starting my gym membership today, wish me luck lol. I have lost 8 pounds since Jan 1 and now I am adding the elliptical and stationary bike. I am hoping I can get lost in my new Nicholas Sparks book on my Kindle and just ride and ride and ride. The kids are going too for the family swim time in the pool then back home to work on PIR ribbons and some scrapbooking :) Wanna join me? Come on, you know you do lol

Jessica don't you just love it when Dads get so involved? They too are so proud of their soon to be sailors, no need to hide their pride :)

I think Kathy Dee's recruit is in Div 85.

Good morning, Jessica!

Kathy Dee:  You may want to put your division number in your screen name so that others in your division can advise you on what they know about the training schedule.  Other than their brother division which trains with them, the divisions do training at different times.

Hi to everyone - I have been travelling so just catching up with all the news about the PIR 2/18 group. Am I right to assume that they are now headed into week5? With the holidays-  I have lost count as to where they are in their training? If this is going into week 5- then assuming next week is the infamous gas mask test??  Any insight as to where they are in training would be great.

To add to what Lala said, if a sailor is going to be assigned overseas, they get up to 8 additional days of leave before they go.

Deanna: You need to delete your post that disclosed some recruits' last names.  No last names are allowed on the site...ever. Navy security. You can use first names if you like and then connect with moms on here that way.  But your son may not know their first names!  My son knew no first names because they never use them there.

myboysmom:  Possibly what your recruit meant on recruiters assistance was this:  If they work with the recruiter in the office for a few days when home on leave, those days don't count as part of their leave time.  But this cannot happen until AFTER A School and has to be scheduled with the recruiter, from what I have been told. It just allows them time at home while saving some of their leave allowance to be used at another time.

Tchrmom:  Someone had posted on one site that they put the letters to go out in a pail and take it out when it is full to mail.  So I don't know.  My letters from my son when he was there always arrived on Wed/Thurs.

Got 2 letters today. one from the 12th and one from the 16th. She did hear the A school was shortened to 8 weeks. Not that she will be going there but nice to know I guess. She did say it had been stressing her out not know how the Drivers licence renewal. But we had not talked the last time yet so. She said they should get all their info on A school by 6 or 7 weeks. They will get a packet on it. Told me to keep the letters coming they give her a boost evertime she gets one.
