I like that idea mountainmama. After all, we are all in this together, no matter the division. :)

Yes, the RCPO is the sailor with the cutlass. Chiefs carry ceremonial cutlasses in formal situations, as officers carry sabers.

Just a thought....we could pick a color for all N4M moms. That way we could pick each other out in the crowd and introduce ourselves, especially if some don't make it to the meet and greet.  It's only a suggestion...won't hurt my feelings a bit if you guys don't like it.  My wardrobe is very limited anyway.  I'm very dramatic....I wear mostly red, purple and black.

FYI, there is a N4M Pink flag in storage at the Navy Lodge for any groups who want to use it.

Anyone have suggestions for contemporary churches near Great Lakes that we could attend the weekend of 2/18/11?

Comment by Arwen on January 15, 2011 at 6:54pm

There are two or three other "basic" flags, in addition to the "honors" CNO and "Hall of Fame" flags.

Going through the pix of my son's PIR, they had:

Guidon (blue with white numbers)

CNO flag (white with gold fringe and blue lettering)

Unknown flag - burgundy with white markings (athletic?)

Unknown flag - blue with white and gold lettering, large F in center

Unknown flag - white with yellow circle and blue star

Unknown flag - white with navy blue symbol/lettering

Unknown flag - white with yellow circle - can't see what is inside circle

Academic flag - red with white scroll and quill

Division flag - black wtih design by recruits

Here's a photo of the division with their flags -

And here's why I don't recognize them. This is what they looked like when I was in the Navy.

I've only found a few people in div 081. I don't know if there are enough of us to even

be noticed if we do pick a color.  Anyone from div 081 want to pick a color?
