my form letter came on the 6th mailed on the 3rd of January, three lines at the bottom.  No phone call yet, Anyone else in Ship 3, Div 79 that has not received mail or phone calls?  I am very happy for those that have been blessed with letters and I understand that no news is good news.    Breathe two three four...arghhhhh

MountainMama--((Hugs)) I am sorry your sister is being so difficult right now. I'll keep you in your prayers and hopefully your sister grows up soon.

MountainMama...I used to work in the school district down here, a big eye opener indeed.  The only way I lasted as long as I did is that I'm an OT and had several schools and never had to deal with the politics in each individulal school.  I feel for you, and I will keep you in my prayers.

Shetaz....wonderful news.  I know you savored every moment of that conversation!

Arwen....I'll keep a close eye on weather reports as we get closer. Thanks for the info about demerits and flags.  My son wrote that his Div has IT frequently because of an SR that gets in trouble every day.

DeeSailorMom...I'll be staying in that Merriott, reservations have been made :)

I just want to say how much I appreciate everyone on here.  Without getting into a lot of detail, there has been a major rift with my sister for several months.  In order to not cause problems at Christmas, I stayed home with my two sons.  It turned out to be a nice Christmas, but it was weird enough being without my son much less having to do without the rest of my family.  My sister unfortunately works at the same school that I do and one by one, she is turning my friends there against me.  I don't know what she is telling them because I refuse to stoop to that level and drag other people into this mess....so I just stick to myself.  So many people on here have been sooooo nice to me.  I just can't tell you how much it means to me.  I can't wait to meet you all at PIR!  May God add His riches blessings to you and yours!

Congrats shetaz!!! So happy you got to hear from your SR.

Regarding demerits: my husband always brings up that his division (way back when) never earned a single flag, but they were also the only division that do not get any demerits.

How well or poorly a division does has no bearing on the recruits' future careers. It does not become a part of their personal record, and reflects more on the RDCs than the recruits. .
