For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

JessicaB- my son, as of 12/24/10 wrote that he had received 4 of my letters to date. At that point, he had only been there 9 days. So, yes, they are getting their mail if i understood you correctly.

Sheta...mine didn't say anything about getting my letters either. The only way I know that he did is that he used the stamps I sent him...lol.....Boys!

We got a second letter from our boy Brian. We had him convinced that he would be eating a lot of Potato Soup or Potato meals... and to our suprise he told his dad that "He Lied" NO Potato Soup... Pizza and Phili cheesesteaks... LOL he said the training was not that hard and he was doing good. Can't wait for the next letters. He has not said anything to us though about getting our mail.... so tomorrow I am going to make sure to send out another one to him.

Moms, I must say I have the best Recruiter ever!!!!! She is Outstanding!!! She just got a promotion to Petty Officer Furst Class!!!!!!!!! next will be Chief!!!! She got me thru so much!!! and my son has such a great respect for her !! Comunication has been great!!! voicemail, e-mails...I call her my Angel, even if its not a so Navy term!!! ( I know better!) but she follows up with him every minute...and she follows up with us!!!Congratulations on job very well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Navy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
