There was some reshuffling of recruits to shrink some very large divisions into more manageable numbers. Whatever your recruit is writing down is the most likely correct information.

Recruiters only get what information is on the computers, which isn't always the most recent or most accurate.

Hey all! We received TWO letters today!! Rah, yay for letters. They seem like a lifeline right now.

All is well... it's hard... but we knew it would be. If it was easy, everybody'd be in the Navy, right? Right!

I'm thinking that the letters will be in your mailboxes soon.  Our letter was mailed on Monday it looks like and got to Lincoln NE (10 hours away) today.  Betting many get stuffed mailboxes tomorrow and Friday.

Ok realistically if your sons are like mine ONE letter but that one letter makes such a difference.  If nothing else know all our kids are pulling together and getting along!  I think that's one of the things I was most worried about.

Hubby said as long as the first line wasn't GET ME OUT OF HERE it's all good :)

My son said they didn't get much time for writing yet but they will in the upcoming weeks. Hope that is true so all us moms get letters!!!

3 weeks with no letter for me, too.  But I think they would write if they could.  They must be kept so busy they have no time to write.

I got a couple of letters from my daughter today.  She is hanging in there, it is tough though she had had a cough or a cold the  whole 3 weeks and has spent some time in bed.  No phone call though.

Okay so is the third week since my brother left, and nothing yet.

WHATS GOING ON. would it be because he doesnt want to write/

i see everyone getting calls and letters but us.

i miss him i wanna hear from him. :(

Comment by ProudNavySister on January 5, 2011 at 5:21pm

DebBee, you are definitely not alone.  Since my brother (who is 20 years younger than I am!!) left for boot camp.  I have been very teary lately!  Just about every time I read something here my eyes start tearing!   My mom (Mom2AustinandBlake) seems to be doing well, but half the time I think she is being strong for me and my sister!  When my brother Austin leaves for boot camp (Feb 8th) I don't know what I am gonna do!
