Hi Ladies - I was looking for the links to the recruit questionaires that someone posted last two weeks. I wanted to download and send to my daughter while at boot camp. Can anyone resend me those links?

Thanks.

I would be scared in Miami as well, I would probably be okay in the day time but that city is on the news way too much for me to want to go out at night lol. I live in a small town where everyone knows your name and everything else about you lol. I kind of like a town where a high school game or fieldtrip makes the front page of the paper. :-)
Now I have a real delima with my computer, it has some kind of virus, blue screen, nothing will come up but error messages. So now I am connected through my phone and what a pain that is:-( You would know the night before it crashed Phil ordered me a new laptop for our anniversary. It cankt get here soon enough. And one more thing, I am so tired of paying for virus protection that never seems to work!!! Sorry had to vent. I'm good now, I think.

Dani, so sorry you are having such a hard time.  I know it must be even harder to explain to your little boys where daddy is.  But just know...it won't be long now before he is in "A" School...there, you can talk to him on the cell, send emails/texts, and even SKYPE.  So just hang in there...it gets much better!

Jessica, to delete my computer cookies, I go to the TOOLS tab up top, then to INTERNET OPTIONS.  I can delete from there.

On your son driving in Italy...yes, I know what you mean.  The European drivers in general drive crazy...we have alot of them here who vacation in Miami  :-)   My son would get lost too alot...GPS has been wonderful for him and he goes everywhere where he's stationed.  Living in Miami my whole life (4th generation) has allowed me to get used to big city living/traffic...growing up, Miami wasn't a big city...but it is now...and so the aggressive/road rage driving kind of evolved down here but we are one of the worst in the country now.  The "plus" is I have no fear of driving anywhere that is a big city situation...but now...put me in Arwen's driveway with snow and ice....UGH!  That scares me to death!  By the way, my husband's family was from Alabama.  They rarely came down to see us...thought bullets were flying down here all of the time....and I remember years ago when they were here-- telling my 20 something yr old niece to drive 10 blocks from our house to a retail store (involved one turn to get there).  She said NO WAY...she would get lost....I found out later that they were all scared to death to be down here....compared it to "Dodge City,"....they were from a small country town where "everyone knows your name."  So different strokes for different folks!  :-)

I have spent a lot of time living and driving in big cities; San Diego, San Francisco, Denver, and Tampa/St Petersburg. I never could learn to accept it. I also lived for a while in Philadelphia, but never drove a single mile. The subway was my friend.

I grew up on country mountain roads, give me a switchback on an 8% grade any day. The driveway I grew up on would make most people blanch. But crowds of cars scare me half to death, no matter how long I live there and how often I have to drive in it.

Thanks for the advice. I've been spending every spare minute (that I'm not chasing children) writing letters and engaging in a little "retail therapy." :) It was really exciting on Christmas Eve when his form arrived. I finally had somewhere to send my monologue turned novel. Hopefully, we'll get to hear how he is doing soon.  Thanks again.

Deleting your cookies depends on your browser.

In Safari--go to preferences, then over to security. Go to "Show all cookies" and either delete all, or search ones from the airline's website and delete only those.

In Firefox--Go to preferences, then over to privacy. Click the link that says "delete individual cookies."

If you're on Internet Explorer, I can't help you as I am on a Mac.

JessicaB-

Yeah he does. I was devastated that he didn't get to call on Christmas. His recruiter said that they would let him. Thanks for the support. I've never thought of myself as codependent or weak, but I think I've cried more in the last 3 weeks than I have in my entire life.

Hey Ladies. I am new to this and really struggling. My husband and I have been married for 7.5 years and have two little boys. Since he was laid off last year, he's been home 24/7, so we went from having him around all the time to NOTHING. It feels like he died. I'm going crazy waiting for a letter. Has anyone heard from their recruit? My hubby is on Ship 03, Division 079. Anyone with a recruit in that group. Just bought my tickets for graduation and am SO excited.

Just so everyone knows, before you book plane tickets, delete your computer's cookies! Airlines track how many times you search a fare with cookie. They jack up the price if they know you keep looking, in hopes you will buy it right then and there.
