tchrmom---if at all possible id wait to...besides cant imagine flights from FL to Chicago would be full this time of year, who in their right mind would want to come to this cold climate( I live in Northern WI) ive had good luck with Southwest airlines they allow for changing flights most times no extra cost, least thats what they advertise....good luck I only have 6 hour car ride!!! but cant wait.....
also Navymom---try At & T calling cards have website can do it all online just send son/daughter the pin numbers works great!
Thanks for all the info about plane tickets!
For those of you who are waiting, at what point do you think you will book your flights? My husband is antsy about booking a flight now. My gut says it is too early, to wait. But how long?
Wish we could just drive. I grew up and learned to drive in NY. Snow & ice doesn't bother me, traffic doesn't bother me. My husband and I have made 2 trips to Ohio- 18 hours up, spent 48 hours there, 18 hours back. We do S. Florida to NY almost every year, straight drive, only stops to potty & eat. The drive doesn't bother me and is SOO much cheaper, but I don't want to take the time from work to do that!
I'm still waiting for my first REAL letter. I don't have time to be stressed about airline tickets. Wish Calgon could take me away...
Sorry I wasn't here to answer questions about the ribbons. I was taking down all my Christmas decorations.
For everyone who sent me a friend request I have sent you the info on the ribbons. The ribbons are only $5.00 each plus shipping. Shipping is $5.00 for Priority Flat Rate Box no matter how many ribbons you order it is only $5.00 to ship. I don't make the ribbons for a profit, it is just my way of paying it forward. I have gotten so many notes, letters and cards about how much everyone loved the ribbons, even from sailors. Even the people who work there checking people in ask where the ribbons come from. It is such an awesome feeling.
Tchrmom, yes you are right!! Our flights are non-stop flights...but about $300 per person. Check on :
www.mwrtravelplus.com.....you can see hotels there too!!!!
Continue the info.
Lots of hugs,
MariaM
Dianne, for me it's the prospect of driving in a city, in heavy traffic. Snow I can do, give me a snowy road on a country mountainside with a cliff on one side and I'm fine. Put me in a city with thousands of other drivers on unfamiliar streets and I go white knuckled and can't even make a proper lane change, and become a screaming virago and won't let anyone in the car even whisper.
