Your sailors MIGHT get overnight liberty if they are Grad-and-Go at Great Lakes. They can apply for it once they reach their schools. Sometimes it is granted, other times it is not.

I've never heard of sailors who are staying at bootcamp over PIR weekend getting overnight liberty. If it happens, it would be a first.

I didn't know that we get overnight Liberty? I thought our sailor had to be back by 9pm Sharp? as a Navy Wife it would be sometime really nice to have a night with my husband, but I am not getting my hopes up.

Right now your sailors should be just finishing up their capping ceremony. From there, they will go back to barracks, take a shower and change. They *might* be allowed to take a nap on the floor after lunch. Around 2 pm they will go to Ricky Heaven. Because of the limited number of phones, each division will take turns using them, 1/2 -1 hour per division (depending on how many divisions are there).

@ Matt'sMom - there are no 'tickets', your recruit puts you on the list of guests.  Any 'extra' guests have to wait until all on the lists are seated and then, if there are extra seats, the extras can get in, first come, first serve.

Congratulations to all the new Sailors and their families!

To all those waiting for a call, I’m praying that we all get our calls early today.  This is such a stressful day.  Glad we have each other to talk to as we wait.  I am praying we can all post that we received, ‘I’m a Sailor’ call very soon.

The weather for Friday in Great Lakes is planned to be ‘Sunny’ and 41 degrees.  A very nice day considering it is February in the Great Lakes.  I can’t wait until Friday!

As soon as I hear anything (Ship 04, Div 805), I will post!

Matt'sMom, I have 2 people on my son's list that can't go. There must be someone you can call to ask. Anyone have that answer? Thanks

bev618: I am anxiously waiting also!!!! Can't wait. Hang in there!!!!

Only a few hours (I hope) and I will finally get to talk with my SAILOR!!  I am so proud of what he is doing and can't wait to talk with him -- and then only 3 days and I will get to see him -- it can not come soon enough for me!!  Congrats to all of those that got calls early this week!!!  (Ship 4 Div 805)

Question - what are the chances of getting an extra ticket for Grandma to PIR?  My Sailor wasn't sure there would be any extra when I talked to him yesterday due to being such a large group.

Omigosh, omigosh!  I keep rescreening the BS21 video from CNN in my head this morning . . . imagining the tasks they are completing each hour or so.  Are they capping right now???  I'm on the edge of my seat!  Can't wait for everyone's calls to start rolling in!!  :D
