I thought about taking the day off, but if he calls during the hours that I am in school, he will call there first anyway because I didn't write to tell him that I would be home.  We have missed 13 days because of snow this winter and I will be missing two days next week going to PIR.  But really, I could have because I have every class doing group projects right now, knowing that I can't concentrate enough to stand up in front of class and put two consecutive words together.

MountainMama, you are a dedicated school employee! I didn't go in. I know the calls generally start in the afternoon, but after missing the last call he earned, there was NO WAY I was taking the chance of missing another one!!!

alwaysdaddyltlegirl- I am SO glad you left and went to get your phone. I knew we were expecting an earned call about 2 weeks ago, and went to the bowling alley forgetting my phone. I thought I was safe, that they generally get phone time in the afternoon, and I'd be home by noon. Well, he called at 10:30 and I missed it. I cried half the day and it took me 2 days to get past it and move on. I feel SO much better that you have it. I was getting all anxious for you! Lord knows I have enough of my own anxiety today. I think the word ANXIETY should be our word of the day!!!

Today is the day...I have been up since 3 am can't sleep, not that I have really been able to sleep since he left anyway...but, today, I just can't get him off my mind.  They are going through such an amazing event today..I have been saying so many prayers and I know all of you have too...We are going to have US SAILORS by the end of today...I just know it!!! Go division 79, 80 ,81 and 82!  Good luck and many prayers to the divisions still waiting to go through battle stations and GOD BLESS all the ones who made it yesterday! Hugs to all!

Congrats to all the new sailors who will be calling today. The calls usually start coming in around 2pm central time. It was about 6pm eastern time when we got our call so calls last pretty much all evening. :)

I just had a thought for people who don't have a PINK SCARF and want one real CHEAP! Go to a fabric store or craft store that sells fabric. All you need is a 1/4 yd of fabric. Ask the people at the counter what would work well, without ravelling and leaving little pieces of thread all over. If you get a t-shirt kind of fabric, it would kind of roll on the edges and you wouldn't see a raw edge. Don't need to sew a hem or anything. Just wrap it around your neck!!

I don't get service inside the school and I work in two different classrooms, so I have already been to the office and threatened that if they don't find me when he calls, they will find a horse head in their bed tomorrow morning.  Okay....I'm exagerating, but I did make my point.  ( Big fan of the Godfather movies)!
